City went ahead through Fernando, then a Yaya Toure penalty and David Silva goal put them 3-0 up after 34 minutes. As the snow hammered down at the Hawthorns, West Brom tried to get back into the game and got a consolation from Brown Ideye late on. Nine-straight wins for the Citizens who stay three points behind leaders Chelsea.

Chelsea 2-0 West Ham UnitedRECAP

Talking about Chelsea, they eased past West Ham at Stamford Bridge as John Terry tapped home and a lovely bit of skill from Diego Costa sealed the win. Jose Mourinho’s men remain top, while the Hammers slip out of the top four.

Arsenal 2-1 Queens Park RangersRECAP

After missing an early penalty kick, Alexis Sanchez put the Gunners ahead at half time. Tomas Rosicky doubled their lead after the break but Olivier Giroud was sent off for Arsenal. Everton 0-1 Stoke CityRECAP

The Potters nicked all three points as Bojan won and then scored a penalty kick which proved to be the winner. Stoke defended solidly, as Everton squandered chances as they slip further into the bottom half and the Potters climb above them.

Sunderland 1-3 Hull CityRECAP

An early goal from Adam Johnson looked to have Sunderland on their way, but Hull roared back with goals from Gaston Ramirez, James Chester and Nikica Jelavic securing a huge win at the Stadium of Light. That was just Steve Bruce’s second win since the opening day of the season, as the Tigers lifted plenty of pressure on themselves.

Swansea City 1-0 Aston VillaRECAP

Gylfi Sigurdsson’s free kick was the difference in South Wales, as both teams squandered good chances in the rain. After a wobble the Swans are back up to seventh with back-to-back wins, while Villa slip to 13th.

Leicester City 1-2 Tottenham HotspurRECAP

Harry Kane’s goal in the second minute put Spurs ahead away at Leicester but the Foxes fought back as Leonardo Ulloe equalized. However Christian Eriksen scored a superb free kick and an inspired display in goal from Hugo Lloris meant Spurs left the King Power with all three points.

Burnley 0-1 LiverpoolRECAP

Raheem Sterling was the match-winner at Turf Moor, as the home side pushed Liverpool all the way but the Reds’ mini resurgence continues. Despite goalkeeper Brad Jones going off injured and being replaced by Simon Mignolet, Liverpool stayed focused and beat Burnley to remain in ninth.
