Swansea City are looking to win back to back games for the first time since August as they host Aston Villa at Liberty Stadium live at 10am ET on NBC Sports Extra Time or live online at NBC Sports Live Extra.
The Swans began the season with four straight wins that propelled them straight to the top of the table, but they have only won four games since, with three of those coming at home. With such inconsistencies, the club has had to scrap to maintain its top-10 status.
However, despite the inconsistent results, the Liberty remains a difficult place to play for opponents. Only two teams have come into Swansea’s home turf and taken away victories, with Spurs stealing one very late two weeks ago and Southampton tearing through the Liberty in September during their blistering run of form.
Leading scorer Wilfried Bony has returned to the starting lineup today after being rested in last week’s win over Hull City. So too do in-form chance creators Gylfi Sigurdsson and Jefferson Montero who missed out last week with an injury.
Aston Villa will also receive a boost with Alan Hutton and Tom Cleverley both back from suspension. The Claret and Blue managed a solid draw last week against Manchester United without the pair.
The visitors are without Kieran Richardson, who was banned for three matches after receiving a straight red card against West Brom two weekends ago, but Gabriel Agbonlahor had his rescinded from last week so he is available again. Agbonlahor will support Christian Benteke up front per usual.
