With one of the league’s most crystal clear home-vs-away records, Queens Park Rangers returns to its sanctuary at Loftus Road to do battle with a tumultuous Crystal Palace at 10am ET live online at NBC Sports Live Extra.
Rangers haven’t collected a single point on the road, but at home the club has lost just one of its last eight, good enough to keep QPR out of the relegation zone for now. But Crystal Palace, under temporary management, can jump out of the drop zone themselves and past today’s opponents in the table should they snatch a solid road victory.
Despite the quick turnaround from the Boxing Day matches, Palace saw fit to sack Neil Warnock as manager yesterday, putting Keith Millen in place currently while a replacement is found. The assistant manager will take charge today at Loftus Road.
Joey Barton returns to the starting lineup for QPR after sitting with a hamstring injury for the loss at Arsenal on Boxing Day. Leroy Fer also makes his way back after being rested, with the Dutch midfielder on four yellow cards.
For Crystal Palace, just one chance comes through for Millen’s first match in charge, replacing Frazier Campbell with Wilfried Zaha. The Manchester United loanee has seen much of the bench this season under Warnock.
