West Bromwich Albion beat Conference Premier (fifth tier) side Gateshead Town 7-0 in Tony Pulis’ first game in charge, as Saido Berahino scored four. Another PL outfit also had a field day going forward, as Swansea City beat League Two Tranmere Rovers 6-2 with Bafetimbi Gomis scoring twice.

One upset was on the cards as Northern Premier League (seventh tier) side Blyth Spartans were 2-0 up at half time against Championship outfit Birmingham City. However three goals in six minutes at the start of the second half turned the game on its head as the Blues held on to shake off what would have been the shock of the day. In the only all-PL tie of Saturday, Leicester City beat managerless Newcastle 1-0 thanks to a strike from Leonardo Ulloa.

Below are all of the results from Saturday’s FA Cup games, the matches which ended in a tie will go to a replay for a place in the fourth round, as most of the PL teams are in action on Sunday and Monday. Click the link above to follow those games.
