When I was rehired at this small Italian restaurant after some time away for college, several co-workers and some regular patrons remarked that they were pleased to see me again bringing out their baked ziti.
So I’ve got a little bit of a feeling for how Fernando Torres felt on Sunday when 45,000-plus fans showed up to watch his reintroduction as an Atletico Madrid player after years away at Liverpool, Chelsea and AC Milan.

Allow him to reintroduce himself. His name is Fernando.
“Leaving this club was the hardest decision of my career. Seven years ago I said goodbye and today I am back, it is hard not to be excited,” he told reporters.
“From the outside I have been excited when the club has won trophies and suffered when they have suffered defeats.
“I want to thank everyone who made it possible for me to come back to the club. I left because I needed to grow but now I find a team that has grown and is competing with the best in the world.
“My dream is to win trophies with Atletico.”
Check the video below. Being honest, it’d be a bit of a feel good story if Torres were to refind his form back home with Atleti. If not, they’ll always have the garlic bread.
