Carroll’s opener was worth the wait, with the big Englishman unleashing a left-footer from inside the 18 that left no hope for a save. It was 1-0 West Ham.
But Gomis rose high to head a corner home, only to have Mark Noble credited with an own goal in the 74th minute to tie the score at 1.

Swans had 60-plus percent possession for most of the match, but West Ham came close to finding a winner late off a few close plays inside the 6.
