Morgan Schnedierlin is the subject of intense speculation among the British tabloids on Tuesday, as the Southampton midfielder’s stock continues to rise. Schneiderlin, 25, put in a tremendous display for Saints on Sunday as they beat Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford to leapfrog the Red Devils and move into third place.

According to numerous reports, the French international midfielder is being courted by United as Louis van Gaal goes in search of a true destructive midfielder with their advances for Kevin Strootman unlikely to bear any fruit. Schneiderlin has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur for months after he famously hit out at Southampton for not selling him this summer.
Will the Frenchman’s fine performances finally warrant the move he feels he deserves? Maybe if he stays at Saints he can achieved his dream of playing in the UEFA Champions League…
Elsewhere, Swansea City are reportedly interested in Newcastle striker Papiss Cisse. The Senegalese striker, 29, is wanted by the Swans to replace outgoing forward Wilfried Bony. The Telegraph reports that Cisse could cost $15 million as the Magpies’ top scorer has nine goals in 13 outings this season. After grabbing over $40 million for Bony, Cisse’s acquisition would provide the Swans with a proven PL goalscorer for half that price. Could be shrewd business from Garry Monk.

Liverpool are ready to step up their bid for Aston Villa’s England international Fabian Delph. The fiery midfielder could leave Villa in January in a cut-price deal as his contract expires in July. Liverpool are apparently willing to offload Lucas Leiva to Napoli to fund the bid, according to the Daily Mirror, as former Reds boss Rafael Benitez is eager to get Lucas on board.
According to the London Evening Standard, Emmanuel Adebayor is in talks with Italian club Parma. Last week it was reported that the 29-year-old was offered to Major League Soccer and it seems like the Togolese forward could still be moving from Europe as his wage demands may price out Parma.
