According to reports, Dutch winger Arjen Robben has been bitten by a crocodile in Qatar.
Yes, you read that correctly.
UPDATE: There is plenty of confusion surrounding Bild’s report and talk of a crocodile attack was indeed a joke from Robben about an injury he sustained in the weight room. Robben’s sense of humor is obviously still pretty snappy…
German outlet Bild said that Robben, 30, went to retrieve a ball from a lake at their training camp during Bayern’s winter break and was munched on by a reptile who didn’t take too kindly to the winger entering his territory.

Pictures above and below show Robben’s middle finger on his left hand heavily bandaged and Bild say that Robben has a “heavily bruised thumb, middle and ring fingers.”
Over the years the Dutchman has been accused of plenty of dramatic dives and simulation, so it would have been interesting to see his reaction after being bitten by a croc, right?
