Sacha Kljestan broke out of his Anderlecht slump in a big way.
The oft-rumored MLS target and longtime USMNT midfielder scored a pair of free headers and set up another goal in Anderlecht’s 4-2 domestic cup round win over Zulte Waregem on Wednesday.

Kljestan, 29, nodded in two close-range goals for the hosts, who advance to the two-legged semifinals against Genk. He also scored in the first leg, but only had one goal in Jupiler Pro League play this season.
New York Red Bulls are said to have interest in bringing Kljestan back to MLS, as the longtime Anderlecht man has seen his playing time drop over the past year under a new coach. He’s been linked to several other MLS clubs, including L.A. and Dallas, over the past couple years.
