Newcastle’s Papiss Cisse could be moving clubs in the near future after reportedly receiving an astronomical offer from Chinese side Shanghai SIGP. The Independent is reporting that Shanghai, who is coached by former England-boss Sven Goran Eriksson, is set to offer the Senegalese striker a contract worth over $30 million. Cisse would earn about $220,000 per week in Shanghai, putting his contract on the level of the likes of Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo. Arsenal has been chasing Villarreal defender Gabriel Paulista, and it seems the deal is nearly complete. The 24-year-old center-back was left out of Villarreal’s side this weekend, leading many to believe he is on his way out of Spain. Arsene Wenger has talked openly about his willingness to pay the big bucks to shore up his defense, and reports speculate Joel Campbell will be going on loan to Villarreal to help finalize the deal.
