We see Christian Eriksen, week-in and week-out, do something marvelous for Tottenham Hotspur. He might not always look in position — what is the best spot for him, anyway? — nor is he always there for the entire 90, but his flashes of brilliance are almost blinding.
Eriksen had a pair of strong moments in Wednesday’s Wembley-clinching win over Sheffield United. Of course there was the goal he scored in the match’s waning moments that clinched the win.
But earlier… oh earlier!
Set up for a free kick outside the 18, Eriksen not only sent an arrow whizzing over the wall, but he managed to spin it into the far upper 90.
It’s about as pretty as it gets.
