There’s a major worldwide sporting event this weekend that will make most others look tame, and believe it or not we’re not talking about the Super Bowl.

The expected viewing numbers for Saturday’s Premier League match between Chelsea and Manchester City (watch live at 1230pm ET on NBC and Live Extra) ae almost startling.

The match will be conducted by a record-breaking 26 broadcast crews, including of course NBC.

Set to snap a record set by the April 2012 version of the Manchester Derby, Chelsea vs. City will be viewed in 175 countries across the world, and will be viewed by an expected 650 million people.

If my math’s right, and it probably isn’t, that’s close to 10 percent of the world’s population. Wow.
