Sevilla 3-2 Espanyol
Iago Aspas scored in the 89th minute to steal a 3-2 win for Sevilla at home. Espanyol will be disappointed leaving empty-handed after playing with ten-men as goalkeeper Kiko Casillas was sent off for an intentional hand-ball outside of the box late in the first half. But it was Aspas, who is on loan at Sevilla from Liverpool, who saved three points after finding himself some space inside of the box before slotting home the game winner. With the win, Sevilla moves up into fourth place on the table, currently holding that coveted Champions League place.
Levante 0-2 Atheltic Bilbao
A brace from Aritz Aduriz gave Athletic its first league win in over two months against a Levante side that stays glued to the bottom of the table. After a slow first 45, Aduriz put the visitors ahead just three minutes into the second half and added a second in the 90th minute to seal the win and put a six point gap between Athletic and the relegation zone.

The second half saw two red cards, one for each side, as Sergio Escudero and Tomer Hemed both picked up their second yellow cards of the match. With the win, Almeria moves to one point behind Getafe as both sides are fighting for survival in La Liga.
