Phil Jagielka cleared a shot off the goal-line to save a win for Everton, the Toffees’ first win in seven matches. He is joined by Ashley Williams and Patrick van Aanholt on the backline, as all three defenders helped keep their opposition off the scoresheet.
Daniel Sturridge and Mesut Ozil both scored in their returns from injury, good signs for supporters of Liverpool and Arsenal.
There’s no surprise that Jonathan Walters gets the nod up top as the Irishman tallied his first career hat-trick, scoring all three of Stoke’s goals against QPR.
