For the first time in nearly a decade, Aaron Lennon will strap on the boots for a club side not called Tottenham Hotspur.
Rumored to be on the move to Stoke City and Hull City, Sky Sports says the diminutive England international has chosen a loan move to Everton as his next foray into the Premier League.
Appearing 364 times across all competitions since moving from Leeds to Spurs in June 2005, Lennon has carved out quite a name for himself as a speed merchant, scoring 30 goals. He’s been capped 21 times for England, but not since 2013.
Lennon, 27, has made just nine Premier League appearances for Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs this season and will add and extra dimension to Roberto Martinez’s side between now and the end of the season.
It is believed that the loan deal can be made permanent by the Toffees at the end of the season, should Lennon impress.
