Marco Reus has put an end to all the rumors, signing an extension with Borussia Dortmund that will keep him at the club until 2019.
The German midfielder had been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid and even Arsenal, but has chosen with remain at his boyhood club.

Dortmund let the world know of the signing with one tweet, followed simply by #reus2019.
Despite Dortmund’s struggles this season, Reus is committed to helping the club turn around and regain the form that won them two Bundesliga titles in 2013 and 2014.
I am very happy with my decision for Borussia Dortmund. Dortmund is my hometown and Borussia is simply my club.
I look forward to a successful future with our team and our fantastic fans behind us.
There is plenty to do and I want to really get stuck in.”
Earlier this week, Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp voiced his commitment to the club, which could have aided in Reus’ decision to stay. Klopp has the utmost respect of his players, and it seems they back him fully, despite their terrible record in the Bundesliga.
This is a big signing for Dortmund, as Reus is a massive piece of both its present and future.
