Queens Park Rangers lost a headline hound, but put themselves on the front page for the right reasons with a 2-0 win at Sunderland on Tuesday.

Snapping a remarkable string of matches without a road win, the R’s leapt out of the relegation zone without Harry Redknapp — who quit last week — and with Chris Ramsey and Les Ferdinand at the helm.

Ramsey, who last managed in 2004 with the Charleston Battery, discussed the big win, and said the players’ attitudes made all the difference.
