Alan Pardew will be facing his old team since choosing to leave Newcastle to take over at Palace, with the silver haired maestro expected to get a frosty reception from fans of the Magpies.


Pardew’s old assistant John Carver has taken charge of Newcastle until the end of the season and has steadied the ship after a poor run of form.

In team news Palace start Marouane Chamakh after his return from injury, while Yannick Bolasie is on the bench. Newcastle drop Vernon Anita and Sammy Ameobi to the bench for Yoann Gouffran and Papiss Cisse.
