The knockout stage of the 2014-15 UEFA Champions League season kicks off on Tuesday, as Europe’s elite club competition is back after a two month hiatus during the winter months.
Yep, you’re humming the UCL anthem in your head. It’s okay, so am I.

On Tuesday Premier League leaders Chelsea travel to the Parc des Princes to face Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their last 16 match. Chelsea knocked PSG out of the UCL at the quarterfinal stage last season and should expect a feisty welcome in the French capital from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Co.
Laurent Blanc has already warned his side about the antics of Chelsea and Jose Mourinho. Does that mean the Blues have already won the mental battle?
In the other clash on Tuesday reigning German champions and one of the favorites to win the Champions League this season, Bayern Munich, travel to war-torn Ukraine to face Shakhtar Donetsk. The game will be played in Lviv, 750 miles way from Donestk which is currently under controlled by pro-Russia rebel forces.
Bayern — despite being uneasy about the trip to an unstable nation — are the heavy favorites to advance with Shakhtar having not played in two months due to the winter break in the Ukrainian Premier League. Pep Guradiola’s boys will want to take a healthy lead back to the Allianz Arena with them for the second leg.
