Manchester City 0-2 Barcelona

The 16th minute saw the match’s first goal, as Suarez fired hard and low past Joe Hart to lift Barcelona into the lead via an all-important road goal. Suarez flashed his trademark big-toothed grin as he raced across the field to celebrate with Messi.

And Barca smelled blood in the water. There was no sitting back with the lead, as the Blaugranas continued with adventurous passing and build-up.

Suarez made it a pair of goals on the half-hour, putting Man City in an awful spot. Jordi Alba sent a gorgeous cross through the former Liverpool man, who left no doubt in making it 2-0.

Juventus 2-1 Borussia Dortmund

Goals were traded early at The Old Lady’s house, where Carlos Tevez’s 13th minute goal was equalized by Marco Reus five minutes later.

Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri claimed his side would need to keep a clean sheet on Tuesday, and those dreams were dashed within 20 minutes of kickoff.

On a day where Suarez scored, the man he bit in the World Cup had a gaffe, slipping up in a bad position. Reus beat Gigi Buffon to even the score.

An injured Andrea Pirlo brought a pall to the proceedings after 36 minutes, as he subbed off for Roberto Pereyra.

But Paul Pogba’s low pass glided through the box for Morata to slap home just before halftime.
