Those who woke up early to join Liverpool and Manchester City at Anfield were rewarded beautifully.
A racing start to the match saw a pair of chances for Adam Lallana go by the wayside before Liverpool finally capitalized and pegged back the their title-seeking opponents after 11 minutes.
Philippe Coutinho dispossessed Vincent Kompany in the Manchester City half, and it started the break. He touched to Raheem Sterling who picked out Jordan Henderson outside the corner of the City penalty area. Henderson took a moment to collect his thoughts before poking towards the top of the box and unleashing a stunning strike which left Joe Hart with no chance and rippled the back of the net.
Manchester City has since equalized through Edin Dzeko before the half-hour mark.
