It’s a London derby at Loftus Road as Queens Park Rangers host Arsenal on Wednesday (Watch live, 2:45 p.m. ET online via Live Extra) in a battle between teams with very different goals.
QPR needs every point it can get to survive relegation, while the Gunners are looking to solidify a top-four position and Champions League berth.
The R’s currently sit 18th on the table, three points below Aston Villa and safety. However, they played two fewer matches than Villa, and points today would help the club play some catch-up. QPR had a week off from Premier League play and took a team trip to Dubai, and manager Chris Ramsey hopes his team will be well rested and prepared for the London derby.
Unfortunately for Queens Park Rangers, the club hasn’t gotten the best results playing against London opposition.
Arsenal is looking to build on a solid 2-0 victory over Everton as they look to repeat the last meeting between the sides, where the Gunners took home all three points at the Emirates. Arsene Wenger is still without Jack Wilshere, as the midfielder continues to recover from ankle surgery.
