It took the 25-year-old U.S. national team star all of 32 minutes of his TFC debut to bag what will surely be many goals this season. Sebastian Giovinco, TFC’s other big-money off-season signing, provided the assist on the first goal of Altidore’s second stint in MLS.
The first touch and turn by Giovinco was classy, the through ball was spectacular but simple, the move around the goalkeeper was composed and the finish was the only possibly way. A class goal all the way around.
