David Luiz must be in another world right now.
Sold to Paris Saint-Germain by Chelsea last year, the defender’s 86th minute header forced Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League match into extra time, where PSG stunned the Blues with Thiago Silva’s 114th minute header.

Luiz said he wouldn’t celebrate if he scored against his former mates, but it’s hard to keep a lid on it when you’ve scored one of the most important goals in PSG history.
On Sky Sports:
“It is amazing for everyone, amazing for Paris club, for Paris city. We did a great game, we tried to win the game. I am happy to be in the next round but we have a long way to go to win the Champions League. We have to keep our feet on the floor.
“My cycle finished in Chelsea, PSG gave me a great opportunity to continue my career. I was very happy at Chelsea. I respect everyone,
“Tonight was good for me to score.. Thank you to Chelsea and sorry I celebrated because I was so emotional.”
What a game, and what a release it must’ve been for Luiz. He was a Chelsea scapegoat, and then one of Brazil’s scapegoats at the World Cup.
Now he’s a Parisian hero.
