How will Arsenal line up for crucial Champions League clash in Monaco?

On Tuesday it is win big or go home for Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League.

Trailing 3-1 from the first leg of their last 16 clash against AS Monaco, Arsene Wenger’s boys must score at least three times in the second leg to go through to the quarterfinals.

Bearing that in mind, how will the Gunners set themselves up?

Let’s face it, they have nothing to lose. After a dismal display at the Emirates Stadium two weeks ago they must go all-out attack against the Ligue 1 outfit. Arsenal was meant to roll through Monaco and easily qualify for the last eight but now they are under intense pressure.

That said, the Gunners’ fluid style of play can hammer teams when they are in the groove and everything clicks. We saw that on Saturday as they passed their way around West Ham and scored three sublime team goals to win 3-0. If any PL side can go to Monaco and win 3-0, it’s Arsenal. They possess the largest number of technically gifted players on any single team in the PL and when they get it right, teams can’t handle their slick movement and flair in the final third.

Below is how I would set Arsenal up on Tuesday. Agree? Disagree? This attack-minded starting lineup would give Wenger the option to bring on Theo Walcott if the Gunners need more goals but also allows them to shut up shop and bring on Francis Coquelin if they are leading. At right back it’s a toss up between Chambers and Bellerin but everywhere else it looks like a team which can rip Monaco apart.
