Shocking footage has emerged of fan violence which left 112 pilic officers injured as 175 arrests were made during a match between FC Union reserves and rivals Dynamo Berlin.

Dynamo are in the fourth tier of German soccer, while Union’s first team are in the second tier with both clubs having a history of animosity due to Dynamo’s alleged connections with the former East Germany secret police force, the Stasi.

Play was halted at the Alte Foersterei stadium as almost 400 Dynamo fans tried to get in the home section and clashed with police forces in the east of Berlin.

The video above (scroll to about 5 minutes) shows the police taking up their lines as the game is halted as rival fans clash at both ends of the stadium despite segregation separating the two teams.

It was an incredibly intense atmosphere for a fourth-tier match in Germany but both teams will likely face charges from the German FA.
