We are months away from the transfer window re-opening, but that doesn’t stop the whispers about players on the move. Here are the latest rumors doing the rounds…

Everton striker Romelu Lukaku could be on his way out of Goodison Park. Lukaku, 21, is being chased by Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg and according to the Daily Mirror, the German club are said to be ready to make a $48 million bid for Belgian international. That would match the price Everton paid Chelsea for the forward last summer and although Lukaku is the Toffees’ top scorer this term with 17 goals, he has failed to replicate the form he produced in 2013-14 when on loan at Everton. Could the Toffees cut their loses and look elsewhere after a disappointing season domestically?

Southampton were rumored to be one of the many clubs interested in signing Norwegian teenage sensation Martin Odegaard back in January, but the 16-year-old was snapped up by reigning European champions Real Madrid. But could one of the hottest products in world soccer be heading to St Mary’s after all? According to the Sun, Odegaard may spend next season on loan with Saints as Real look to speed up the Norwegian starlets development. Spending time at a club famed for giving youngsters a chance and also allowing Odegaard to develop in the tough environment of England’s top-flight could be a win-win for everyone. Watch this space.

The Metro suggests that Arsenal could snap up 20-year-old Serbian midfielder Mateo Kovacic in the summer with his current club Inter Milan willing to let him go. Kovacic could cost the Gunners $30 million and has scored eight goals this season for Inter while impressing with his vision and composure on the ball. Can Arsene Wenger tempt the Serbian international to the Emirates Stadium?

Following their UEFA Champions League exit, Manchester City’s fans have been calling for a large overhaul of their ageing squad this summer. This man could be one of the biggest arrivals. The London Evening Standard reports that Man City have inquired about Wolfsburg winger Kevin de Bruyne and if the former Chelsea attacker is for sale. De Bruyne, 23, has been in sensational form in Germany and the Belgian international would add real pace to City’s attack.
