Freddy Adu has joined a new club, this one in Finland

Freddy Adu has another new club, pending a medical examination.

Kuopion Palloseura, or KuPS, is the 11th team on the one-time American prodigy’s long resume after he agreed to terms with the club today.

The Canaries finished in 7th place last season in the Veikkausliiga, Finland’s top-flight. They are also Adu’s third club since leaving Major League Soccer in 2013, and he played in two matches between his time with Bahia (Brazil) and Jagodina (Serbia).

Freddy Adu firstly gained attention when he signed his first professional contract at the age of 14. The midfielder played almost 100 games in Mayor League Soccer before moving to big European club Benfica.

Adu has been one of the most media attention gained player in his age. To this day Adu still has hude fan base and he has nearly half a million followers in social media.

Adu had been both tipped to go to Sweden and make an MLS return in recent months after leaving Jagodina in December. Turns out neither is happening.
