On Saturday there were seven games in the Premier League as 25 goals were scored amid some huge wins for teams at the top and bottom of the table.

Arsenal hammered Liverpool 4-1, Manchester United battered Aston Villa 3-1 and there were big wins for Leicester City and Queens Park Rangers at the bottom. As for leaders Chelsea, they ground out a tight win over Stoke City to extend their lead at the top of the table.

Arsenal 4-1 Liverpool – RECAP
The Gunners simply blew Liverpool away in the first half as stunning strikes from Hector Bellerin, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez put them 3-0 up at the break. Jordan Henderson pulled a goal back in the second half, but Olivier Giroud scored late on to seal the win and move Arsenal into second place. As for Liverpool, their top four charge is left in tatters.

Manchester United 3-1 Aston Villa – RECAP
The Red Devils went into third place as Ander Herrera scored in each half and Wayne Rooney scored a stunning solo goal (watch above) to cancel out Christian Benteke’s strike. Aston Villa remain in relegation trouble, while United have won four-straight.
Chelsea 2-1 Stoke City – RECAP
A penalty kick from Eden Hazard and a tap-in from Loic Remy was enough for Chelsea to see off a stubborn Stoke outfit. Charlie Adam scored the goal of the season so far from 67 yards out (watch above) to tie things up, but Chelsea rallied to extend their lead at the top to seven points.
West Bromwich Albion 1-4 QPR – RECAP
QPR celebrated their second away win of the season as goals from Eduardo Varga, Bobby Zamora, Charlie Austin and Joey Barton did the damage. Victor Anichebe got West Brom’s lone goal, as QPR are just one point from safety after Chris Ramsey’s men put in a stunning offensive display.
Everton 1-0 Southampton – RECAP
The Toffees won their third-straight game thanks to a wonder save from Tim Howard and a Phil Jagielka goal in the first half. Saints stay in sixth spot after failing to create clear cut chances in the final third, while Everton moves up to 11th.
Swansea City 3-1 Hull City – RECAP
Total dominance from the Swans as two goals from Bafetimbi Gomis (including a ridiculous bicycle kick) and another from Ki set them on their way. Paul McShane pulled it back to 2-1 but then David Meyler was sent off for a horrendous tackle on Kyle Naughton. The Swans are closing in on the top seven, while Hull is still in deep trouble at the wrong end of the table.
Leicester City 2-1 West Ham United – RECAP
The Foxes took the lead through Esteban Cambiasso’s wonderful strike but David Nugent then missed a penalty kick and Cheikhou Kouyate equalized in the first half. Both teams had multiple chances to go ahead in a hugely entertaining clash at the King Power Stadium, but it was the home side who finally broke through late on as Andy King scored the game-winner to give the Foxes hope of survival.
