Amidst all the contractual talks between his agents and the club, Sterling scored a brilliant individual effort to help Liverpool defeat Newcastle 2-0 on Monday.

Leicester City may sit at the bottom of the table, but the Foxes are still alive thanks to a late winner from Jamie Vardy against West Bromwich, the striker’s third tally of the season.

Yannick Bolasie scored three for Crystal Palace against Sunderland, none prettier than his delicate chip which had Alan Pardew cheering on the touchline.

The top honors go to West Ham’s Aaron Cresswell, whose bending free kick found the top corner against Stoke City. Unfortunately for Cresswell and the Hammers, Marko Arnoutavic found an equalizer deep into stoppage time to steal a point for the Potters.
