Granada 1-1 Sevilla
Diego Mainz scored two goals in the match, one for each side, as Sevilla’s hopes of Champions League qualification took a blow with a 1-1 draw to struggling Granada. Mainz put the home side ahead in the first half before scoring an own goal in the second to hand Sevilla a point. With the draw, Sevilla trails Valencia by two points for the fourth and final Champions League spot from La Liga, while Granada stays second-to-last in 19th place.
Villarreal 0-0 Cordoba
Last-place Cordoba earned a point away from home with a hard-fought draw against sixth-place Villarreal. Juan Carlos made seven big saves in goal for Cordoba, and his performance in the second half was the reason Cordoba left with a point. The draw for Villarreal signifies the club’s recent run of form, as they are winless in eight, their last victory coming on March 8th.

Inter Milan 0-0 AC Milan
The Milan derby ended in a scoreless draw as only one point separates the rival clubs on the Serie A table. Once two of the biggest powers in European football, AC Milan (9th) and Inter (10th), both sit languishing in the middle of the table. Roberto Mancini’s Inter thought they had won in the second when Philippe Mexes scored an own goal, only to have it ruled out for a foul. It was the first Milan derby to end in a scoreless draw since 2004.

Roma 1-1 Atalanta
Roma failed to jump Lazio for second place in Serie A as they had to settle for a 1-1 draw at home to 17th place Atalanta. Francesco Totti put Roma ahead in the third minute from the penalty spot after Guglielmo Stendardo was whistled for a hand ball, but German Denis answered with a penalty of his own to level the score before half. Roma had trouble breaking through the Atalanta defense, but now sit level with Lazio on 58 points.
Napoli 3-0 Cagliari
Napoli remains three points ahead of Sampdoria for the all-important fourth spot on the table after easily handling Cagliari 3-0. Jose Callejon scored his 11th goal of the season midway through the first half before an Antonio Balzano own goal gave Napoli a 2-0 lead going into the break. Manolo Gabbiadini came off the bench in the second half and made an immediate impact, scoring Napoli’s third of the day on one of his first touches.
