LIVE — Champions League, at the half: Bayern Munich bags five, will they ever stop scoring?


Bayern Munich has scored five goals in the first half to stun Porto in the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League.

Bayern trailed on aggregate 3-1 heading into the match, but goals from Thiago Alcantara, Jerome Boateng, Thomas Muller and a brace from Robert Lewandowski have Bayern back in the driver’s seat.

Pep Guardiola’s men came out firing, reminiscent of Bayern’s last Champions League game in Munich, when they thrashed Shakhtar Donetsk 7-0.

The dominating first half performance has flipped the aggregate from 3-1 in favor of Porto to 6-3 for Bayern.

Over in Barcelona it has been another dominating performance, as the Catalans lead Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 at the break.

Neymar has a pair of goals as Barca leads on aggregate 5-1, surely sending the La Liga leaders into the Champions League semifinals.
