Queens Park Rangers time in the Premier League is running out as the R’s squandered a great opportunity to pick up three points on Saturday.

QPR drew 0-0 at home against West Ham, as the London derby finished with no goals after Charlie Austin had his first half penalty kick saved by Adrian.
The R’s were denied by the Hammers’ Spanish goalkeeper on several occasions and West Ham went closest from Aaron Cresswell’s free kick which Robert Green tipped over at the start of the second half.
QPR remain in the bottom three on 27 points, four points from safety with four games to go, while West Ham stay in 10th on 46 points.

Early on QPR had a glorious chance to take the lead as Sandro stole the ball from Mark Noble but the Brazilian midfielder saw his low drive saved by Adrian when he should have done better.
QPR had an even better chance to open the scoring after 22 minutes as Bobby Zamora’s shot was clearly blocked in the box by James Collins’ hand and the R’s were awarded a penalty kick. Leading scorer Austin stepped up but drilled his spot kick straight down the middle and Adrian saved to keep the score level.
Soon after that the Hammers had a glorious chance to go ahead but Ecuadorian striker Enner Valencia decided to shot from an impossible angle instead of squaring the ball to numerous teammates lining up to tap the ball home.

The R’s continued to push hard for the opener as Karl Henry had an effort at the back post blocked but the sides went in level at the break. At the start of the second half West Ham almost went ahead through Cresswell as his stunning free kick was plucked out of the top corner by Robert Green and over. Wonderful save.
Moments later QPR were so close to taking the lead as Zamora spun past 18-year-old West Ham debutant Reece Burke but smashed his effort inches wide.
QPR thought they had taken the lead late on as Dunne headed home on the line but referee Mike Jones chalked off the goal for a foul by QPR defender Steven Caulker on West Ham’s goalkeeper Adrian. Correct call. The Hammers almost made them pay, as Valencia clipped the ball into Kouyate but his abysmal finish kept the scores level.
Late on Adrian pulled off another wonderful save as Matt Phillips powerful effort from a tight angle was pushed over.
