LIVE – Premier League, at the half: Aston Villa, Stoke, Leicester race into early leads

Five games kicked off at 10 a.m. ET in the Premier League on Saturday as plenty of twists and turns are taking place in the mammoth scrap to avoid relegation.

At half time relegation battlers Leicester and Aston Villa lead, while Newcastle and Hull are both drawing at home. Burnley is 45 minutes away from being relegated, while Stoke have raced ahead against Tottenham.

Leicester City 2-0 Southampton

Riyad Mahrez has struck twice to give the Foxes a big lead at the break.

Aston Villa 1-0 West Ham United

Tom Cleverley has scored his third goal in three games for Villa as they are ahead vs. West Ham.

Newcastle United 1-1 West Bromwich Albion

The Magpies went 1-0 down after Anichebe scored but Ayoze Perez equalized just before half time.

Stoke City 2-0 Tottenham Hotspur

Charlie Adam’s header and a tidy finish from Steven Nzonzi has the Potters ahead. Poor first half from Spurs.

Hull City 0-0 Burnley

The Tigers are struggling to break Burnley down. The Clarets need a goal in the second half or they are going down.
