LVG thinks DDG is going to stay at MUFC.
After seeming somewhat resigned to losing his star manย and goalkeeper David De Gea following Manchester Unitedโs 1-1 draw with Arsenal, on Friday Louis van Gaal shared his belief that the Spanish โkeeper will not be leaving Old Trafford to head to Real Madrid this summer.

De Gea, 24, has long been linked with a move back to his hometown and Real are reportedly seeking a long-term replacement for Iker Casillas. To add to those rumors, De Gea has just one-year left on his current Untied contract but has been offered a lucrative new deal by the Red Devils and is currently mulling over his options before committing his future.

Asked if he believes that De Gea will stay at United, here is what van Gaal had to say about that, plus also giving an update on De Geaโs fitness ahead of Unitedโs final game of the Premier League
โI believe still that David De Gea shall stay,โ van Gaal said. โHe has trained today but only with our goalkeeper trainer. He still has a little problem so I want to wait a day longer because I want him to play against Hull City. You know that I shall talk with them maybe tomorrow, weโll have a farewell drink. After the match, I have the Monday to talk, I have spoken to some players this week. You have to wait and see how these talks develop in terms of players staying or going away.โ
Van Gaal also said that if De Gea did leave then Victor Valdes is capable of stepping in and filling the void after signing on a free transfer in January. But is he?
Earlier this week in PL Playback I spoke about the importance of De Gea to United and how heโs gained them at least 10-12 points this season which has proved crucial in their return to the UEFA Champions League next term. United need to offer the Spanish international whatever they can to keep him at the club this summer as LVGโs rebuild must revolve around keeping De Gea.
