As Bournemouth prepares for its first season in the Premier League, the small club from England’s southern coast could be getting a huge boost.
Sky Sports is reporting that Chelsea winger Christian Atsu is set to join the Cherries on a season-long loan, as the 23-year-old has just finished his loan spell at Everton.

Atsu was seen at the Bournemouth facilities early this morning to discuss the deal.
After joining Chelsea from FC Porto in 2013, Atsu was immediately loaned out to Dutch side Vitesse. After a season in the Eredivisie, he was loaned out again to Everton. He has yet to make an appearance for the Blues.
Atsu’s season at Everton was very disappointing, as the winger made only one Premier League start for the Toffees. In his 13 appearances for the club, seven of them were in the Europa League.
While Atsu failed to make an impact at Everton, he is still a young player loaded with talent. He started all three matches for Ghana in the 2014 World Cup, and helped lead the Black Stars to the Africa Cup of Nations final in January, where he was named the tournament’s best player.
Bournemouth is preparing for the club’s first ever season in the Premier League after winning the Championship by one point this year. It’s been an amazing turnaround for the club, as the Cherries were forced into administration in 2008 and were playing in the third-tier of English football in 2010.
Moving to play for Bournemouth will be a big change for Atsu, who has experience playing in the biggest tournaments in the world, including the World Cup with Ghana and the Champions League with Porto. At Bournemouth, Atsu would be playing in front of 11,700 supporters at Dean Court.
