Manchester United unveiled new signing Memphis Depay on Friday, and the reigning top scorer in the Eredivisie knows he’s making a jump in class.
The 21-year-old winger scored 28 goals in 40 matches across all competition, but the Premier League is a step up from the free-scoring Dutch league.

Memphis was rumored to come to Manchester United after last summer’s World Cup, but was reportedly advised by Louis van Gaal to wait a year.
It’s been a year. And the confident $40 million man is ready to work for his place at Old Trafford.
From an interview on ManUtd.com:
“This club has a very famous history of wingers, like Ryan Giggs and Cristiano Ronaldo. How much do you want to follow in their footsteps?
I’m going to let my feet speak. I hope I can develop here in the Premier League and I hope I can be like those great legends one time in my career. I’m going to work hard, so let’s see. I believe I can be a great player for Manchester United.
Memphis is a scintillating talent, and a winger Van Gaal knows much better than Angel Di Maria. A move like this could signal the end for both the Argentine as well as young Belgian attacker Adnan Januzaj.
Or will Europe back on the docket, all could play significant roles in 2015-16.
