The agency now looking after Jerome Boateng’s career is Roc Nation Sports, owned by legendary rapper Jay Z.
Boateng, 26, is the first soccer player to sign with the agency and announced the switch on Monday in pretty spectacular fashion.

The German international defender sent out the message below via Twitter, as he took in the lower Manhattan skyline from a boat in New York Harbor.
Despite being turned inside out by Lionel Messi in the UEFA Champions League semifinal (sorry, Jerome) the defender has been a regular for Germany and Bayern for the last four years since leaving Manchester City in 2011.
The World Cup winner has 52 caps to his name with the German national team and it will now be interesting to see if other soccer stars will follow his lead and sign up to Roc Nation Sports, a NYC based agency. Boateng was previously without an agent for several years after a previous representative took him to court over an alleged wage dispute.
In signing with Roc Nation, Boateng joins an illustrious list of names the agency already represents with CC Sabathia, Victor Cruz, Dez Bryant, Kevin Durant and Miguel Cotto also on board.
