Preview, follow live — Argentina and Colombia square off in Copa America quarterfinals

Argentina and Colombia have had two very different Copa Americas.

While both started with surprises — Colombia was upset by Venezuela and Argentina drew Paraguay 2-2 — only La Albiceleste has found an expected path to the quarterfinals, beating Jamaica and Uruguay by twin 1-0 score lines.

Meanwhile, Colombia has taken to a roller coaster, following the upset by Venezuela with a fiery, dramatic and historic 1-0 win over Brazil. Los Cafeteros then failed to get all three points against Peru, finishing third in Group C.

And that’s how we find two South American giants facing off one round earlier than some expected.

For a side with Jackson Martinez, James Rodriguez and Carlos Bacca, Colombia has scored just a single goal in their three Copa America matches, but has also been stingy at the back with only one allowed.

Meanwhile Argentina has scored in each of its three matches, behind the power of Lionel Messi, Gonzalo Higuain and Sergio Aguero.
