Ronaldo denies reports of fall-out with Madrid president Perez

Cristiano Ronaldo has broken his silence to refute reports of a strained relationship between the forward and Real Madrid.

After falling to FC Schalke 4-3 at home in the Champions League back in March, Ronaldo stated he would not talk to the media until the end of the season.

The season ended with Real failing to win any trophies, and despite Ronaldo’s public support for Carlo Ancelotti, the manager was sacked as Rafa Benitez was brought in as his successor.

That led to rumors that there was a fall-out between Ronaldo and Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, with reports stating Real’s star was seeking a move away from the Bernabeu.

Speaking to Portuguese newspaper A BolaRonaldo put an end to the speculation.

I’ve not talked to anyone from the press for some time; I’ve made an exception now for A Bola to reassert that stories [that have been published] are absolutely false and are aimed only at creating conflicts between Real Madrid and me.

I’m very happy at the club and very focused and have faith in a new season full of success. I repeat again that I’m at the best club in the world and at the best club in the world I want to get back to winning.

Now that all of that has been put to rest, Ronaldo can get back to producing movies about himself and promoting his personal line of underwear.
