Last season’s MLS MVP bagged a hat trick in the Galaxy’s 4-0 win over Toronto FC on Saturday night, doubling his goal total on the season in the process.

Keane opened the scoring with a perfect penalty kick into the top corner, and added his second before halftime off a cross from Baggio Husidic. He completed his third-career MLS hat trick at the hour mark, intercepting a poor back pass before dribbling around the keeper and tapping home into an empty net.

Over in Salt Lake City, Kaka gave the visiting Orlando City SC a lead in the fifth minute, but was then shown a straight red card right for a stomp on Real Salt Lake’s Javier Morales.

Kaka barreled Morales over from behind and stepped on the back of his leg in the process, with Referee Sorin Stoica going straight to his back pocket. It was a questionable call, as the stomp could have been caused by his momentum and didn’t seem to be too vicious. Check it out in the video below.

It was Kaka’s first straight red card of his career, but Orlando City was able to hold on for a 1-1 draw.
