Iker Casillas is set for his first new club since he started his youth career with Real Madrid, according to a Spanish television station. Casillas, 34, started at Real Madrid when he was 9 years old, but is said to be open to a switch to FC Porto.

Newcastle is looking into a bid for Dutch attacking midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum. The 24-year-old PSV Eindhoven wizard could cost $22 million, and would leave PSV without its top two threats. Memphis Depay made his way to Manchester United. The Magpies are also said to be offering $500,000 for 19-year-old Northampton striker Ivan Toney.

Matty Phillips’ crosses were among the only thing magical about QPR’s relegation season, and West Bromwich Albion is hot on the midfielder’s heels. QPR is said to have rejected a bid, but Sky Sports says the work is ongoing.

Also according to Sky, there’s a market for Rafael, who does seem the sort of player that would thrive in Serie A:

Sky Sports understands that Manchester United will listen to offers for right-back Rafael.

Three clubs are believed to have expressed an interest in the Brazilian – Napoli, Galatasaray and Fiorentina.

Finally, Spanish paper AS says Atletico Madrid star Arda Turan is going to sit through Barcelona’s transfer ban rather than accept a move to one of the many Premier League clubs coveting him.
