If these reports are true, Raheem Sterling may have just ruined any chance he ever had of playing for Liverpool Football Club again.
Then again, with Manchester City chasing him down and he rejected a new contract offer from the Reds earlier in 2015, perhaps that is exactly what Sterling wants.

Multiple outlets in the UK are reporting on Wednesday that Sterling, 20, has called in sick for the first day of Liverpool’s preseason and has not reported for training.
It is also claimed that Sterling has refused to go on Liverpool’s preseason tour of the Far East and Australia, with the Reds due to fly out in the coming days ahead of their first game in Thailand on July 14, and he has told Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers that he doesn’t want to play for him after a private meeting which reportedly took place on Tuesday.
Sterling’s future at Liverpool has seemed doomed for a while as contract talks broke down in April after his agent claimed that Sterling wouldn’t sign a new contract with the Reds even if they offered him $1.4 million per week. Sterling has two years left on his current Liverpool contract, but Man City have already had two bids turned down for the England international this summer and if they table a final bid closer to $75 million, it is believe the winger could be allowed to leave Anfield.
Many Liverpool fans are now resigned to losing the speedy attacker who has burst onto the scene in the past two seasons and has been named Europe’s top young player after picking up various awards. However, with stunts like this perhaps Reds fans believe it would be better to cash in on him now.
Now, it’s time to see if this illness is legit, as Liverpool’s club policy is to send a club doctor to the house of the sick player to assess whether or not he can train.
Is there any doubt that Sterling is currently led in bed at home trying to channel his inner Ferris Bueller?
