Everything else is in play, though, and it could be another rough tournament finish for Honduras, which has fallen from grace in dramatic fashion.

Haiti hopes to continue its surprise ways when it faces the Hondurans, while Panama will be a pretty desperate opponent against the U.S.

Match 13: Honduras vs. Haiti

To recap: Haiti has been to one World Cup in its existence and missed qualifying for the Gold Cup as recently as 2011. Honduras  has made two-straight World Cups and has advanced out of the Gold Cup’s group stage in five-straight tournaments, going to the semis in four of those. But Los Catrachos have fallen on hard times since a poor World Cup in Brazil. They are 2-5-3 in 2015, including a loss to French Guiana. Jorge Luis Pinto isn’t having the same fortune he had leading Costa Rica deep into the 2014 World Cup, and he’d sure like to avoid a loss, and another pitfall for Honduras.

Match 14: USA vs. Panama
When: Monday, 9:30 p.m. ET
Where: Sporting Park, Kansas City

Panama is in second place, but could still finish as low as fourth if it loses by more than one goal and the opening match is a tie. The States haven’t looked great, and Jurgen Klinsmann is going to tinker with his lineup knowing that even a loss won’t hurt the club (though it will have his critics up-in-arms). Panama held 1-0 leads in its matches against Honduras and Haiti before giving the advantage away, and the U.S. is on a six-game winning streak, but most of the Gold Cup so far has been scrappy, and anything can happen.
