The French outlet claims that PSG are closing in on Angel di Maria, as he’s struggled to settle at United after signing for $99 million last summer. Reports say PSG have already offered $60 million for Di Maria but United want at least $75 million for the Argentine winger.

On the flip side, United desperately need new strikers with Radamel Falcao and Robin van Persie leaving this summer and PSG’s Edinson Cavani would fit the bill. The Daily Express claim the Red Devils want to swap Di Maria for Cavani. He has scored 56 goals in 96 games for PSG but often has to play out wide to accommodate Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the French champions. Reports continue to link Cavani, 28, with a move to Old Trafford.

Liverpool are said to be stepping up their pursuit of Aston Villa striker Christian Benteke after the sale of Raheem Sterling. Benteke, 24, has a release clause of $50 million in his current contract but according to the Daily Mirror Brendan Rodgers is said to be reluctant to pay that price for the Belgian forward. With Daniel Strurridge injured for most of the 2014-15 season, Liverpool badly struggled for goals and they only have forwards Divock Origi, Rickie Lambert, Mario Balotelli and Fabio Borini to play up top at the start of the season with Sturridge still recovering from surgery.

Two Dutchman are said to be close arriving in the Premier League with $16 million man Jeremain Lens heading to Sunderland, and $15 million Jordy Clasie heading to Southampton. Both are Dutch international and Lens, 27, will move to the Black Cats to link up with his former manager Dick Advocaat. Lens, a striker, would substantially boost Sunderland’s attacking options. As for Clasie, 24, he was nurtured by current Saints boss Ronald Koeman at Feyenoord and the diminutive central midfielder is apparently undergoing a medical at Southampton as he is the direct replacement for Morgan Schneiderlin.
