With one brother already with Swansea via a free transfer, the Ayew brothers could both be making their way to the Premier League this summer.
According to Sky Sports, FC Lorient has accepted a bid from Aston Villa for striker Jordan Ayew, paving the way for their replacement of Christian Benteke.
The 23-year-old Ghanaian striker is set to arrive in Birmingham within the next day to conclude personal talks and take a medical, according to the report. The Sky report says Ayew will command an $18.6 million bid, while The Mirror says the bid was in the $14 million range.
Ayew scored 13 Ligue 1 goals last season with Lorient in a relegation battle after moving from Marseille the previous summer, his highest goal tally in six top-flight seasons. He has been a Ligue 1 starter in France since he was 18 years old, and now would become the feature striker at Villa after the departure of Benteke for big money to Liverpool.
Jordan’s brother Andre moved to Swansea earlier this summer on a free transfer.
