It wasn’t supposed to be like this — the US national team was supposed to meet Mexico in the final tomorrow, Sunday evening, at Lincoln Financial Field, where the North American powers would once again face off in the hotly contested, much anticipated 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup final.

Instead, Jurgen Klinsmann’s USMNT fell helplessly to the Reggae Boyz of Jamaica Wednesday night in the first of two semifinals, while Mexico progressed to the final in stunningly controversial fashion. Thus, the Americans find themselves in Saturday’s third-place game, facing Panama, with a chance to take back a bit of dignity lost inside the Georgia Dome Wednesday night.

Klinsmann has elected to make six changes to his starting 11 from Wednesday night — out are Clint Dempsey, Gyasi Zardes, Kyle Beckerman, Alejandro Bedoya, Ventura Alvarado and Brad Evans; in are Chris Wondolowski, Graham Zusi, Joe Corona, Omar Gonzalez, Timothy Chandler and Tim Ream.

Match 25: USA vs. Panama
