If Christian Benteke scores more goals like the one he did today, he’ll win over a lot of hearts at Anfield.
Liverpool ended it’s preseason run with a 2-1 win over League One Swindon Town, with Benteke and 18-year-old Sheyi Ojo scoring the goals.

It was Benteke’s first appearance for the Reds, and he might have a hard time scoring a prettier goal than he did this afternoon at the County Ground.
Just after halftime Benteke opened his Liverpool career with an absolute stunner, using his chest to control before turning and smashing a volley into the top corner.
Benteke’s strike was so impressive, he even got some love from Anfield legend Ian Rush, who is Liverpool’s all-time leading scorer with 346 goals to his name.
Brazilian midfielder Roberto Firmino also made his Liverpool debut today, with both Firmino and Benteke playing 67 minutes as they prepare for the start of the Premier League next weekend.
