USMNT defender John Brooks plays for Hertha Berlin, but according to the club, only the driver was on the bus at the time of the shooting.

The bus was headed to a train station to pick up the team as they traveled to face second-division side Arminia Bielefeld in a German Cup match tomorrow. According to the club, a motorcyclist cut in front of the bus before turning around and firing a shot.

The club posted a picture of the bus to Twitter, with a caption that translates to “Unbelievable! Our team bus was shot at on the way to a German Cup match. Luckily no one was injured!”

Earlier this year, Turkish side Fenerbahce’s team bus was attacked by gunmen, in what was an organized attempt to try and injure the players onboard. There has currently been no word from the club or German police on any information regarding the investigation in this situation.
