Another Bundesliga game, another big win for Bayern Munich.

The Bavarian club has won the past three Bundesliga titles, with last season’s ten point gap a “close” race, compared to the previous two seasons in which they won by 25 and 19 points respectively.

Today, Bayern Munich opened the 2015-16 Bundesliga season with a 5-0 win over Hamburg, who barely survived relegation last season.

Pep Guardiola’s men were only leading 1-0 at halftime through a goal from Mehdi Benatia, but a second half explosion saw them walk to a comfortable win.

Robert Lewandowski scored just after the break before Thomas Muller tallied twice in four minutes to burst the game open. New signing Douglas Costa capped off his Bundesliga debut with a goal in the 87th minute, as the Brazilian looks to be one of the best signings of the summer throughout Europe.

With the loss of club legend Bastian Schweinsteiger and rumors of Pep Guardiola’s departure always swirling, today shows that Bayern is still the club to beat, and the gap between their competitors is still quite large.

Bayern finished last season with a whopping +62, goal differential, which was 28 goals better than second-place Wolfsburg. The Bundesliga title staying at the Allianz Arena is almost considered a given, with the focus of the club’s board on Champions League success.
